Rachel Breit is a Power Yoga teach at The UM Wellness Center, who has been an athlete her entire life, spending 10 years doing competitive gymnastics. The intense training took a huge toll on her body. When looking for alternative methods to ease her chronic back pain, she decided to try Restorative Yoga. After 2 challenging months, Rachel began to feel a significant improvement in her back pain and unexpectedly, her mood. She felt awakened for the first time in a long time and a new passion ignited inside of her that she didn’t realize was missing. That’s when she fell in love with Yoga! If Yoga could make such a positive impact on her overall well-being – mind, body, soul- she was inspired to share that practice with others.

Rachel’s teaching style has been described as friendly, calm, and creative. She emphasizes on the breath, body awareness, and body alignment. Her personal practice encompasses gentle, restorative, yin, vinyasa, power, and Yoga nidra. She teaches gentle, beginner, vinyasa, and power Yoga.

Professionally, Rachel is registered with Yoga Alliance, having completed her 200 RYT at Dharma Yoga Studio in Coconut Grove. She has her B.A. from the University of Miami in Marine Life and was a member of Sigma Tau Delta and a former volunteer at the Academic Resource Center.
